The Five Solas of Reformed Theology

“The five solas” are a way of summarizing what the church Reformers taught in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries to guard and clarify the gospel. Sola Scriptura, Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Solus Christus, and Soli Deo Gloria has become shorthand for what is known as Reformed theology. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone, with scripture alone as our authority.
